Mission Impossble II, Smedjebacken, August 21

Last show of the summer gigs. Our FOH guy Jocke ruled the festival for a while as he mixed both us and The Mo, who played just before us.
Last show of the tour of course means a big party. Well, not if you finish your gig at 21:00 and you have the oppurtunity to get a good night's sleep before the very long ride home. The guys who checked out the festival after-party said it wasn't worth it anyway.
Featured photos today shows our beloved horn section. Note the clothes change between the two pictures.

Mölleplatsen, Malmö, August 15

Tonight's show was opening for 50 Cent. Above you see Timbuktu trying to show how high Turning Torso really is.
We had an insanely cool dressingroom, as pictured below.

Södra Hamn-scenen, Luleåkalaset, Luleå, August 6

I've never been so far north in this country. Pretty cool. It took forever to get there though as SAS messed up. Just one tip, SAS - planes breaking down may not be your fault, but just a little bit of information will get you a long way.
Next to our stage in Luleå, we had this beautifully lit crane:

Badhusparken, Storsjöyran, Östersund, July 30

Actually July 31 as the show time was 1:45-2:45 AM! I was worried no one would be in a party mood at that time but quite a crowd showed up. The only good thing about playing at that time of the day was that we managed to catch the Darkness show before we had to start rigging. Great stuff!

Arvikafestivalen, Arvika, July 17 (only damn!)

All the chairs in the dressing room area had Funkcenter written on them. Apparently they knew what damn! is about. Here is Sven (saxophones and flute) relaxing in the Funkcenter.
Later in the evening we saw Kraftwerk and that was pretty cool. I also noted that Arvikafestivalen must be the nicest festival around. All people working there were nice, and I was very surprised to hear people say excuse me when then tried to squeeze by me in the Kraftwerk crowd. Not just one person saying that, but pretty much everyone! Not very common.

Sommarrock, Svedala, July 16

The best dressed band inna da bizniz getting ready to hit the stage in Svedala. Yes, that is a bit of a pool on the right. The festival takes place at an outdoor swimming place but due to security reasons, no one is allowed to swim during the festival.

B&B, Halmstad, July 15 (only damn!)

damn! did a show as the same venue as last night and we spend the day shopping before the serious funking took over at night. Here are Erik (keyboards) and Måns (drums) with some of their cool bargains from Kurt, the local retro design store owner.

B&B, Halmstad, July 14

Our main star in action at the after-show bowling. This night's show was in a club that had pool tables and a bowling alley and as soon as the crowd had been thrown out, a night-time bowling tournament started.

Bangen Jazzfestival, Sandviken, July 3

On our way to Sandviken we stopped at Brunstorps Värdshus outside of Jönköping for a snack. In these parts of Sweden, words apparently mean something else than it does back home. On the vegetarian menu was offered a ham and cheese salad.
